Tear Trough
One frontier for filler placement lies in the perioccular region (this should only be done by a plastic surgeon experienced in such injection as there have been cases of blindness from misadventures here)
The region between your eye and nose is called the nasojugal groove or tear trough. In some it is a hollowed out concavity that casts a shadow and makes the skin under the eyes look dark. Placement of filler here will lighten the shading in the area and make you look more youthful and refreshed.
Filler chosen for this region should be suited for injection into the superficial dermis as this skin tends to be very and material can potentially be visible and palpated.
